Hot dogs are getting the gourmet treatment during Top Dog Week, September 18–26, with 10 Woodford County businesses serving up their own creative takes on this American classic.
From bacon-wrapped dogs and house-made chili to pimento cheese, street corn and even a sweet spin on the traditional hot dog, each participating location has created something special for the occasion.
Pick up a Top Dog Week punch card and make your way around Woodford County to try the featured creations. Visit five of the 10 participating locations and get your card punched to receive a Top Dog koozie.
Meet the Top Dogs
Don Jockey
A hot dog loaded with creamy mayonnaise, caramelized onions and jalapeño peppers for a little kick, then topped with fresh tomatoes and finished with mustard, sour cream sauce and ketchup. Served with a side of fries.
Versailles Brewing Company
A quarter-pound beef dog wrapped in bacon and fried until crisp and golden brown, then topped with house-made chili and shredded cheese.
Ricardo’s
A jumbo hot dog loaded with homemade chili, cheese and onions, served with tater tots and slaw.
Cornerstone Pharmacy
A hot dog topped with homemade coney sauce, hand-shredded cheese, onions, relish, ketchup and mustard.
The Stave
A grilled all-beef hot dog piled high with creamy pimento cheese, sweet-and-smoky bacon jam and tangy house-pickled red onions, all served on a toasted bun.
The Woodford Club
An all-beef hot dog, split and griddled, then topped with house hot dog chili, cheese sauce and fried onion straws. Served with Parmesan truffle crack fries.
Taqueria Becerra
A bacon-wrapped hot dog topped with pico, potatoes, grilled onions and spicy mayo, served with a side of street corn.
Kristen’s Kreations
Tiramisu meets the hot dog! This sweet creation features the classic combination of ladyfingers, mascarpone and coffee—with a small twist for Top Dog Week.

A chili base topped with sliced beef hot dogs, a light layer of shredded mozzarella blend, diced red onion, yellow mustard and cheddar cheese.
