When Hogwards Alchemy Professor, Corbin Hawthorn, takes ill, Hogwards reluctantly hires an unknown substitute named Professor Aldren Vale. Vale has impeccable credentials and brilliant magical abilities, but he quietly teaches spells that are technically forbidden – not because they are evil, but because they reveal truths that the Board of Governors has spent generations hiding. The students begin discovering forgotten branches of magic, erased historical events, and evidence that some of the School’s heroes were anything but heroic. Vale must be silenced!
