Join us at The Kentucky Castle for an unforgettable evening celebrating one of the most remarkable achievements in horse racing history. An Evening with Cherie DeVaux honors the first female trainer to win both the 2026 Kentucky Derby and the 2026 Belmont Stakes with her champion thoroughbred, Golden Tempo.
This exclusive formal affair begins on our Rooftop with Cocktails with Cherie, where guests will enjoy handcrafted cocktails, elegant passed hors d’oeuvres, live music, and the opportunity to mingle on our Rooftop with Cherie. Guests will also have the chance to browse a curated silent auction in our Grand Ballroom featuring unique equine-inspired items, Local KY Brands, and experiences. All proceeds from the Silent Auction will benefit the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation, one of Cherie DeVaux’s charities of choice. The Foundation is dedicated to providing retired Thoroughbred racehorses with lifelong care, rehabilitation, and opportunities for second careers after their racing days are over.
The evening continues with Dinner with DeVaux, an elegant multi-course dining experience accompanied by keynote presentations from respected leaders in the equine industry. The highlight of the evening will be an intimate conversation with Cherie DeVaux herself as she shares the incredible story behind Golden Tempo’s historic victories, her journey to the top of the sport, the challenges she overcame, and her vision for the future of horse racing.
This is a formal event, and guests are encouraged to dress in black-tie or formal evening attire befitting this extraordinary celebration.
